Preparation
for Photography︱Matterport︱Floor Plan︱Video
Please have the home clean, staged, and photo-ready when we arrive. We’re on a tight schedule and unfortunately can’t wait for cleaning or moving items.
Before we arrive
• Turn on all lights (lamps, overhead, under-cabinet, stove) + replace burnt-out bulbs (matching bulb color helps)
• Turn off ceiling fans + TVs/monitors (hide remotes)
• Open curtains/blinds (unless the view isn’t ideal)
• Kitchen: clear counters (appliances, dishes), hide sponge/soap/paper towels; clean sink
• Bathrooms: clear counters/shower (toiletries/bottles), wipe mirrors, hang tidy towels, close toilet lids
• Bedrooms: make beds tight; clear nightstands; hide laundry baskets
• Hide/put away: mail, personal photos/items, chargers/cables, trash/recycling bins, pet bowls, toys
• Floors: quick sweep/vacuum if needed; remove clutter from walkways
• Exterior: tidy entry/yard, put away bins/hoses/tools/toys; move cars from driveway, close garage doors
• Pets & people: keep out of the way (best off-site or on another floor)
Matterport & Floor Plans (important)
• Don’t move anything once scanning starts (furniture, chairs, doors, décor)
• No people/pets in scan areas (can cause alignment/measurement errors)
• Doors must stay consistent: open or closed throughout
Note: Wide-angle photos + 360° scans can easily capture people/pets in the background.
